Where are you originally from?
- Fremont, CA. The Bay Area.
When did you realize music was what you wanted to do with your life?
- When I was young, I always watched my older guy cousins rap and record in their studio. I would beg my parents to drop me off with them so I could record. I thought what they were doing with words was the coolest thing. I knew then that music was my passion.
Who are your musical influences?
- I grew up hearing Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton & Willy Nelson, Otis Redding and Bruce Springsteen. My mom and I would dance in the living room when I was just in diapers. I've always enjoyed all types of musical genres but as I got older I found Jay-Z, DMX and Eminem. Those dudes made me love hip hop, stories and music in general.
So far, what do you think your biggest accomplishment in music has been?
- The most stand out moment was being invited to perform at Stella McCartney's Paris Fashion Week event. It was surreal to have Sir Paul McCartney bobbing his head to my song, "Donuts". My Mom was there and I know she was proud. That felt awesome!
Who are you currently working with and who do you aspire to work with?
- Working with Taio Cruz was pretty sweet. He's the most humble person! Most recently I worked with David Banner on a song I wrote. He's so calming and very inspirational. My dream team would be P!nk and Eminem. Can't wait ; )
What can we expect from Sibley in the near future?
- New music and videos! I think media is important in this industry. I love surprising my fans. Definitely more shows and I'm looking forward to a US release this year!!! Stay tuned, guys! I'll keep it interesting!!
